I have a really hard time updating my blog. Maybe because I never know what to say. So this month since I really don’t have much to say here is what i’ve been up to lately. Its been a good couple of months.

Scrapbooking, Coasters, & History Book

I have been so busy doing so many things that I sometimes forget to post the fun crafts I do. Here are some pictures of some of the fun things I’ve made lately.

I have to say this is by far my favorite thing that I have made lately. 7 or 8 months ago I started making this wonderful history book for my Grandparents. After a long 6 months or so I finally got it finished. I am super happy with the way it turned out. When I presented it to them they had to hold back their tears. It was such a wonderful experience to give back to two people who have given me so much through the years. My Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins are basically my second parents and I spent a lot of time at their house growing up because my Mom worked. So I would go hang out their while my parents were at work. The History Book was a lot of work but it was all worth it in the end. They have taught me so much and I hope that future generations of their posterity can learn the amazing things from them that I have. I just love them so much and can’t help but brag that I have such amazing Grandparents.

Sugar Cookies: We’re obsessed with cookies period!

It seems like all throughout the year I crave sugar cookies. Maybe because I really only get them once a year. Mom (Hawkins) always makes such good cookies during Christmas and then we usually go over and help her decorate them right before Christmas. This is her recipe that originally came from her Aunt Bev. It is to DIE for!

Well anyways, I wanted to make sugar cookies but all I had was Christmas cookie cutters. LAME! So I asked my mom if she had anything besides Christmas cookies cutters and she had Valentines Day ones. So I borrowed them from her. I know its not Valentines Day. But the hearts are still fun. After they were all baked me and Bryson frosted them. We got sick of frosting after a while and started to just start throwing frosting all over the cookies. So thats why in the picture of all of the cookies theres some ones decorated pretty crazy. Sorry for the low quality pictures. These were taken from my phone so they aren’t that great of quality.

Happy baking!

Ingredients (Cookies):
2 cups Sugar
2 cups butter
6 Eggs
6 tsp baking powder
7 cups flour
4 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Cream Butter and Sugar together. Add eggs; mix well. Refrigerate overnight. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Ingredients:
Powdered Sugar
Water
Food Coloring

Directions:
Mix together and frost cookies after they cool.
