4th of July and Halloween Crafts

Here are few crafts that I have done lately. The Halloween countdown craft I got from the Wood Connection and the 4th of July craft my mom bought for us to do but she got it from this link https://www.facebook.com/Cousinscraftcorner . I love how both of them turned out.

Josh & Hailey | Utah Wedding Photograher

I know what you’re thinking “I thought she wasn’t doiing photography anymore.” And I really don’t because it stresses me out. But when my voice teacher texted me one day and said that her good friend was in need of a photographer and that they were in need of a photographer, my helping people out instinct kicked in and I just had too. It was only for an hour for their wedding so I was okay with it. I just had to post some pictures because I have never done a wedding at Manti before and it was gorgeous! We lucked out though it was a stormy day and we had just enough time to take the photos before it started raining (which it did right when we got in the car). Congrats to Josh & Hailey! You’re a beautiful couple!

My Life In Pictures The Last Few Months

I have a really hard time updating my blog. Maybe because I never know what to say. So this month since I really don’t have much to say here is what i’ve been up to lately. Its been a good couple of months.

A book I just finished reading… It was such an amazing book. below is one of my favorite quotes.

2 3

I took this picture one day when Bryson and I were out disc golfing with my family. Never knew my iPhone could take such a beautiful picture.

This is totally what I needed to see in my fortune from Panda. Sometimes I need to refocus and live in the now instead of the tomorrow.

I got this award at scrapbook weekend. Everyone got awards and this was mine.

What I get to study. Love it!

One of my favorite things I’ve seen on facebook.

I turned 22. I can’t believe how old I am!! “I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22!”-Taylor Swift. It was a great birthday. Went shopping with my mom and then out to eat with my whole family at Brick Oven.

A beautiful painting I got that my Grandpas Sister Dorothy painted.  Can’t wait to hang it up! She was very talented.

Instagram quote that I loved.

Me and Bryson out Disc Golfing.

Look where Bryson and I are going! Can’t wait. September needs to be here tomorrow!!

My new electric keyboard. I love it!

Scrapbooking, Coasters, & History Book

I have been so busy doing so many things that I sometimes forget to post the fun crafts I do. Here are some pictures of some of the fun things I’ve made lately.

I usually do all of my scrapbooking on Shutterfly. But I decided to make something super cute for my mother in law for mothers day. I made this at scrapbook weekend. I just love the way it turned out. IMG_2820 IMG_2821 IMG_2823 IMG_2824 IMG_2825 IMG_2826

Next thing I love to make is coasters… Here are some coasters I made for my mom for mothers day.

Here are some more coasters I made for my mother in law for her birthday.

I have to say this is by far my favorite thing that I have made lately. 7 or 8 months ago I started making this wonderful history book for my Grandparents. After a long 6 months or so I finally got it finished. I am super happy with the way it turned out. When I presented it to them they had to hold back their tears. It was such a wonderful experience to give back to two people who have given me so much through the years. My Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins are basically my second parents and I spent a lot of time at their house growing up because my Mom worked. So I would go hang out their while my parents were at work. The History Book was a lot of work but it was all worth it in the end. They have taught me so much and I hope that future generations of their posterity can learn the amazing things from them that I have. I just love them so much and can’t help but brag that I have such amazing Grandparents.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have enjoyed seeing my new crafts, scrapbooking, and history book.

Sugar Cookies: We’re obsessed with cookies period!

It seems like all throughout the year I crave sugar cookies. Maybe because I really only get them once a year. Mom (Hawkins) always makes such good cookies during Christmas and then we usually go over and help her decorate them right before Christmas. This is her recipe that originally came from her Aunt Bev. It is to DIE for!

Well anyways, I wanted to make sugar cookies but all I had was Christmas cookie cutters. LAME! So I asked my mom if she had anything besides Christmas cookies cutters and she had Valentines Day ones. So I borrowed them from her. I know its not Valentines Day. But the hearts are still fun. After they were all baked me and Bryson frosted them. We got sick of frosting after a while and started to just start throwing frosting all over the cookies. So thats why in the picture of all of the cookies theres some ones decorated pretty crazy. Sorry for the low quality pictures. These were taken from my phone so they aren’t that great of quality.

Happy baking!

Ingredients (Cookies):
2 cups Sugar
2 cups butter
6 Eggs
6 tsp baking powder
7 cups flour
4 tsp vanilla

Cream Butter and Sugar together. Add eggs; mix well. Refrigerate overnight. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Powdered Sugar
Food Coloring

Mix together and frost cookies after they cool.
